By Anna Tardos and Geneviève Appell

In four bath-time scenes we see children between 8 and 12 months of age with their respective care-takers. The film shows how each bath-time with its protagonists is unique although all four bath scenes follow the same order of events. The quality of attention that both child and adult pay one another is of central importance here. It is this dialogue that allows the infant to define him or herself and play an active role in his or her own development.
